Private by design
Only you hold the key.
Your ledger is sealed on your own devices before it syncs. The SumOne relay only ever holds it sealed, so it can't open it. It keeps the newest sealed copy so a new device can catch up, and clears older ones out within 90 days. We can't read your ledger, and we can't give anyone a readable copy.
End-to-end encrypted
Your ledger is sealed on your device with a key only you hold. The relay that syncs it only ever sees ciphertext.
Local first
Your ledger lives on your devices and works offline. Sync keeps them in step when they're online.
Recovery by you, coming
Restoring from your Emergency Kit is coming before launch. Because we never hold your key, recovery will be in your hands, not ours.
Some features, like connecting a bank, mean we hold something on your behalf. The security page lists every one of them, plainly.
